thank you for featuring me. I am very inspired by wood and am just learning to work it. the Jack-a-Lope is my first wood carving project. It was fun and addicting but hard. The wood is a piece I found out in the field. It was a unique shape so I started whittling away at the rotten stuff till I got to the hardwood core.  I used my Buck knife and files mostly. my next project is a bowl. I found a redwood burl, I've hollowed it, for the most part, and its been drying for a little over a year now. I will post the progress.
